Welcome to SheetChef (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using SheetChef, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What SheetChef does

SheetChef helps you clean and standardize spreadsheet data using reusable “recipes.” You can upload files, preview transformations locally, and save your cleaning steps for reuse. All processing currently happens in your browser. When server‑side execution is introduced, your files will only be uploaded temporarily for processing.

2. Your use of SheetChef

• You’re responsible for the data you upload and results you generate.
• Do not use SheetChef for illegal, abusive, or harmful activities.
• You may not copy, reverse‑engineer, or resell the platform without written permission.
• We may suspend access in case of misuse, abuse of resources, or violation of these terms.

3. Accounts and access

You may need an account to save or reuse recipes. Keep your login details secure. You’re responsible for actions taken under your account.

4. Payments (future)

Some features may become paid (“Pro” features). Payment processing will be handled by trusted third‑party providers (e.g., Stripe). Your payment information is never stored by SheetChef.

5. Intellectual property

All content, branding, and code on SheetChef are owned by the project. You retain ownership of your data and recipes. By using the app, you grant us a limited right to process recipe metadata solely to provide the service.

6. Disclaimer

SheetChef is provided “as is.” We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability. You use it at your own risk. We are not responsible for any data loss, damages, or errors arising from use of the app.

7. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SheetChef means you accept the latest version.
